Hi there, fellow book lovers! My name is Rachel, and I'm the enthusiastic bookworm behind Bookcase Cafe. My passion for this blog is to inspire anyone, whether you're a lifelong reader or just getting started, to find your love for reading and dive into the wonderful world of books.

I've been an avid reader for most of my life, but like many, I experienced periods where life got in the way, and I lost touch with my love for literature. During high school, I fell out of the habit of reading, and it wasn't until college that I rediscovered my passion. An Intro to Detective Fiction class sparked my interest in books once more, opening my eyes to the endless possibilities that awaited me between the pages.

However, as I got busy working, I again found myself drifting away from reading. I managed to read a few books each year, but the magic was missing. Then, in 2021, everything changed when I picked up "Beach Read" by Emily Henry. This captivating story reignited my passion for reading, and I've been obsessed ever since! Now, I love exploring different genres - from literary fiction to romance, fantasy, mysteries, and thrillers. My goal with Bookcase Cafe is to share my love for these diverse genres, introduce you to new authors, and provide engaging discussions on the latest bookish trends.

When I'm not busy devouring books, you can find me playing soccer or going on adventures with my wonderful husband. I'm also in the process of learning how to speak Spanish and I'm hoping to pick up a keyboard to get more into music.

Through Bookcase Cafe, I hope to create a community of readers who share my love for literature and are eager to explore new worlds and ideas.
